Christmas and more!

Well, this might be long. My Christmas break started last week, and it has been a blast to stay home with Nikelle. We have had some fun times together.

Wednesday, after Nik got off work, we headed over to the Christmas village. Since we have all been sick, we havn't made it to Santa. Well, we went to see him, and this is what she thought.







ummm, pretty sure she didn't like him to much! I think she did enjoy the hot chocolate (after it was cool enough, of course) and looking at most of the houses. oh well, maybe next year?

Then the celebrations started!!

It all started Christmas eve. She decided to wake up around 7, which is way early for her. This is what she decided to do: (it's a little dark, sorry)
You need to watch on the left side, you will see her. It is the Elmo live that we got her last year.

Then we went to my mom's and dad's to celebrate Christmas. She got spoiled (or in other words: loved a lot) I think this was a good practice for Christmas morning. She got a doll that has buttons, zippers, velcro, and all the fun stuff to practice. She got a doll house, and a Tinkerbell table.

Christmas morning was a blast! She got up, and walked down the hallway, stared at everything, and leaned against the couch. We asked her if she was going to see what Santa got her. She got supper excited, ran to things and started showing us what she got. We got it all on video. Good thing I only wrapped three things. We would have been there forever. We got her a chair and I thought for sure that would be the thing. Well, she loved her baby stuff more. The stroller has gone everywhere in our house. Of course, she puts the baby in there. The cutest thing, she tries to give her babies her binky, but of course they don't want it so, she takes it! I do think Nik and I enjoyed it since we love toys and this gave us a reason to play with them.

After we went and seen our grandma's we headed over to Nik's parents. There, she got loved a lot again. She got a baby, cute clothes, and a purse with pretties (braclets and a necklace). We all played rock band and watched Nikelle and Anniston dance.
The girls got cute piggy jammies and we all got Grinch ones. They were black with Grinch's on the feet. So, our new band name is the Grinches (I know, thoughtful).

Nikelle was getting supper tierd, way past her bed time, but she doesn't sleep when things are going on. So, she decided to dance instead. I'm going to say she had a nice Christmas, Thanks to everyone!

Nikelle....a dog?

If you have been to my house, you know that it is pretty crazy. We have three dogs and they all love attention! Well, Nikelle loves her puppies and they love her too. One night after dinner she was sitting there and we were working on her animal sounds. Well, she got on her hands and knees and then said "woof woof". Well, I whipped out the camera and tried to get it. I ended up getting a little piece of it. You have to listen real careful. She moves her head up and down and that is when she saying it. Maybe she thinks she is a dog afterall!
Don't worry, Nik is working on Vroom Vroom, because her new thing is cars!

Happy Halloween

Nikelle's second halloween. Hard to believe. It was a nice night. Nik carved pumpkins, I know we are a little late. We had it planned for last Sunday, but because of the swine flu going around his family, we had to put it off until today. Nikelle was funny, she only lasted a couple of minutes with it, but she didn't get grossed out. She got the hang of getting the candy, but she would just stand there and wait for more. She didn't get the hang of going to the next house to get more. She is just so funny!

Nikelle's first Bday Party

Sorry for the delay, computer problems....surprise!
I finally got everything together from Nikelle's first bday party. It was so much fun, and turned out pretty well. I did a Tinkerbell theme and Grandma China made her a Tinkerbell tutu. Good for me though, I did not get a picture of her cake. It was pretty darn cute. Thanks to everyone that came and I still can not believe that my baby turned one! She is getting so big.

Happy Birthday to my baby! Shes the big 1

Our precious little princess turned one today. It was fun, but sad. To know that she is growing up! It really just seems like the other day, I would sit here and wish she would get bigger. Now, I just want her to be this age forever. Our adventure started this morning when I heard her yelling for me. (Nik and I took the day off to celebrate with her...like she knew) I went into her room and sang happy birthday to her. Here is her b-day pj's....

Then, I had to make her french toast with a nana (banana). She was super excited, dad got up and ate breakfast with us!

Then she had to take her nap, and off to eat lunch then to the zoo! She had so much fun with her cousin's today. We rode the train and got to see all the babies. And, there was a monkey born today, so we got a picture of that. And, of course, my camera died right when we got the the baby elephant.....grrr But, spending the day with my princess was worth it!

I did it!

I know this is going to amaze many people. I finally finished Twilight. Yes, the first one. I started it after I found out I was prego and then was finishing up my masters and got side tracked. It's hard when you think you have a few seconds: sleep, read, eat, relax? Hopefully, I got my rutine back and can finish the second before the movie comes out in November. I know I will! I have to say that I loved the book! yay me!

Now, I get to watch the video that Nik's cousin put on Blu Ray for us through out xbox...woowoo!

TaAA DAAAHhh

Well, since summer began I have been saying how I wanted Nikelle to take her first steps before I went back to work. I was for sure that it was not going to happen, she just had no desire. It all started a couple of weeks ago when she started standing in the middle of the floor and getting up without anything to pull up with. Then, all the sudden over the weekend, she started trying to move her feet. Today, I stayed home and sat with my niffty flip video I got from a workshop last week and tried to catch her. It only took alllll day. I finally got a good one! Nik, of course, said it would be better if she was dressed. It was after lunch and I was going to clean up, and she started going! Hurraayayy!! I got to see her first steps! (these are the actual get somewhere steps)
She is so funny, I have enjoyed the time I have had to spend with her all summer, I think I'm going to miss it!

Just Venting....grrr some People

I havn't really blogged a lot lately, just busy, but I had a minute and I just got back from taking Mclaren on her walk. We have been trying to leash train her and shes an 80 pound puppy that gets supper excited! So, tonight I was soooo happy we made it around the block and we even passed some dogs. Claren laid down while they passed and the people said what a good dog. I just had to laugh, we were only two houses down and it took us like 15 minutes to get that far! Well anywho....after she had her moments she really did well and we started around the block. As we got down the road on our way home some people on the corner had their dog in the back of their truck. Mind you it had a cover on it, so the dog echoed and Claren was not to sure about that. The people laughed and I laughed with them. Well, Claren wanted to check them out (I don't get it dogs, ok, people She has to meet!). Well, I could hear the people talking and I just got a few feet from their house, they started their big truck and reved the engine!!! Claren freaked out and the people started laughing and did it again! Well, here I go, almost flat on my face because she tried to run and was shaking! People can be so rude! I hope they enjoyed their moment, which I'm sure they did since they were laughing!

2 year anniversary

Nik and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary. We decided to take a little getaway to Park City. It was the first time we had actually left Nikelle and been out of town for the night. So, we had it planned to go on Friday, up to the slides. When we got up there it was yucky so we had to wait until Sat. We then just did some sight seeing and shopping. We went over to Heber and Midway. On Sat we did the whole park thing and it was a blast. The only bummer was that we went on Friday to try to get past the crowds, but since they were not selling the all day pass we had to wait. It all worked out and we got to do the zip line, coaster, slides and have a fun day!

9 months old

Nikelle is now 9 months old. Time flys! No, we did not get her a bike for her 9 month un-birthday.....This was just taken the day before. Today we went to her checkup. She is now 28 inches long and 17.5 lbs. She is crawling around everywhere and gets into anything she tries to. Last week she went swimming in her little pool. She played in the cold water, but it only lasted a few minutes. I can't wait to take her to a big pool!

Blessing day and Helping mom clean

I know I am a few weeks behind on this post, but I'm getting there. On May 2nd, Nikelle had her big blessing day. After a busy year the blessing happened finally. And needless to say, it rained when we were going to have it outside, so it ended up being in my house ((Eeekkk)). We made it a double deal and blessed Nikelle and her cousin. This made it to where Nik's family only had to come once and then my family and my sister in-laws family. It felt like we were sardines in a can! Here are some pics of the big day.

On her blessing day she decided to actually get somewhere when she crawled. It was quite an event I tell ya! For about a week she just stuck her butt in the air and rocked. She only managed like two steps but we cheered her on. Now, she is crawling everywhere!

And finally, today I was vacuuming and she had to help. Now, I know babies are not supposed to play with cords and stuff, but we were watching her (obviously, or there wouldn't be pics). She had to follow me around and hold the cord. What a big helper she is, until she unplugged it!

Just to sum up our adventure, Nikelle, her dad and of course Mclaren had to play xbox!

Out of Sync!

Ok, so since I wasn't sent the pic (like always), I stole it from my friends (Melissa and Heidi). They probably didn't give it to me, because they make fun of me (I don't play sports and stuff), that it takes only 2 months to post something!! I'll show them......ANYWHOOOO

The fifth and sixth grade teachers got together to show some of our talent! We did a little dance and song to Nsync 's Bye Bye Bye. The kids laughed and cheered us on. Afterwords, we had to sign some autographs. It was a blast. We need to let lose once and a while. I love the girls I work with, it is so much fun and without them I think I really would go nuts!

6 Months Old

After a short break I thought I better get some news out to everyone. Nikelle just turned 6 months old..and yes I sang happy unbirthday (haha). I have so many pictures to post, but I am going to do a few each day this weekend, and hopefully get caught up. I have to say though I did get her six month pics done and they are ADORABLE!! But, you will need to wait a couple of days. We did go to the doctor for her checkup and she is doing great. She weighs 14 lbs 11 oz., and is 25 inches long. Her cute doctor gave her a kitty book that she had to eat right away. Nikelle is also sitting up on her own and trying to crawl. Her crawl is with her head and then she inches her legs up and pushes out with her head. It is quite funny! Her little personality is blooming each day, and we are love every minute of it. I love when they are this age.
