Just some fun pics!

Wow, this year has gone by so quickly. There are so many things that I have not added to the blog. Nikelle is now 2 and talks constantly! She loves so many things and does so much to make you laugh. Sometimes we need to ask ourself why we are laughing when she should be in trouble.....hmmmm....but she always puts on this smile and says "sowwy".

Nikelle is full of energy and will run until the moment she lays in her bed. I love how we can have a little talk and she understands you and then has something to say back. We are now getting to play the talk on the telephone game and see what is in her purse every night.
Yes, she still loves Yo Gabba Gabba! I really do wish she could stay 2 forever! I love this age. Each morning when I am taking her to my moms or Sarah's she sings to me in the car. Then....I will get the damanding "dance mom, dance", While she is back there dancing as well.
What can I say...she is pretty funny!

Her monkey costume. She really did like it!

Posing for the camera!

A fun few weeks...Coloring and the YEEHAA!

I have finally started the school year. It has been getting better, I was struggling at first. It still seems like it should be summer! I have missed spending everyday with Nikelle, but yes, money does make the world go around. Plus I enjoy my job (most days). Speaking of Nikelle, she is cracking us up everyday! She will be two at the end of the month. We will be having a Yo Gabba Gabba party for her, because that is her favorite! Hopefully, we will make it to Yo Gabba Gabba live, tickets are quite pricy $50/person after all the fees!!! And yes, even for her! So, thanks to Aunt Lissa watching Good Things Utah, found the coloring contest. Nelle colored her little hart out. She loves to color! She will color and draw for quite a while if you let her. Here is her creation......

It's actually a drawing so I thought I would color one, and Nik colored Plex. Then she had to recolor over them. The little circles are fish by the way! She draws them on her magnadoodle deal all the time. The last few days she has drawn dogs too! Man, my kid is an artist!

Other things she does........

She now speaks sentences and if anyone knows her, she never really seems to be quiet. She loves "Donalds" for her "Nuggets". In the past few weeks she has heard people call me Chelle or Michelle and copies that! She enjoys the words: NO, MINE, and GIMMY more than ever! I can't wait for the teenage years, we might get more vocabulary in there! She also can ask for her orange or apply juice...and Milky. If you don't get the one out that she wants she says nope...and points to the one she wants. She won't take it until you get the right bottle out. This has caused us to be more creative. We need to pretend to poor the bottle, and then all is well...yes, we are so smart!! (haha)

And, (drum roll plllleeeassee).....she has graduated from the binkie. She did really well! Now, if we could work on potty training. hmmmm yea! I'll let you know when she wants to sit on the potty. She used to do it all the time. Then I got a potty seat from my sister in-law and now, she has nothing to do with it. She will kick and scream if you even ask her about it....that would be her dad's temper!

Nikelle has also learned to call things what she wants to call them. She calls my friend's little girl, Ellie, Calli....we think it's because our cats name is Ellie. And, don't worry, she gives you a dirty look if you try to correct her. So, now Ellie is Cali wherever we go! Last weekend, we went to Swiss Days, and Nik's Grandma bought Annie and Nelle a cowgirl hat. Nikelle calls these YEEHHAA's. She was super excited when she got it. It is pink and has fur on it. Well, this weekend she went up to Nik's uncle, got her hat, put on her shoes, and said.....I got my yeehaa, lets go ride horse. (He has a horse and has told the girls he would take them). Well, they were on their way to a car show deal for peach days, and he promised her later. After they left we were eating dinner and I turned to see her in this.......

don't mind the outfit. She was eating dinner and had an accident
through her daiper right before I came home...this is what her dad put her in.
She was so proud of herself. She had her "eyes" on and then ran to get her hat, then added my shoes. Then she said...now, I go ride horse?? She also had fun posing for the camera as I took the picture. She knew she was super cute!
One last thought....keep your shoes on when you are around her. She will take them and wear them anywhere! Poor aunt Lissa needs to hide shoes, because they keep going missing after her days with her.

This is my silly (almost) 2 year old! I'm so glad she's mine! Life would be boring without her.

Until next time........

Trying to get more!

Well, here I am. I havn't done much with my blog, just have not wanted to really (Melissa L.). But, here is a brief breakdown of what I have been doing.
1. Swimming- any day and everyday I can! Nikelle is started to kick and want to actually swim. And, it gets me out of doing my chores! But, leaves them for later. It is just nice to sit outside and let her play and relax with friends.
2. Getting ready for school- the last few weeks, Nikelle has had a cold and so swimming has been limited, so I have spent some time getting ready for work. Kinda excited, but I have soooo much to do!!!
3. Helping my sister in-law- She is starting her own business and so I decided to put some Mary Kay stuff with it. This has made it to where I really need to get some extra money and thought, I should put some more time into it. Maybe this way I can go back to getting my hair colored and cut regularly and getting my nails done (I sure miss that!). Hopefully, I can make some money at it, instead of doing it for myself. So, if there is anything you need let me know!!! I can get it to you.

That is about all that has happened. I need to post pics and I will soon! I need to share what I did in Boston! I had so much fun~

Jumping JellyFish!

Well, most of us know how much Nikelle loves Yo Gabba Gabba. They are coming in November, and have no fear, we will be there. I know she is one, but if you knew how much she adores the characters, then I think you would go too. Plus, you only get this chance, at this age, once...right??

The other day she was watching her show, and all the sudden she started doing the "dancy dance," of the day. This episode was the Jumping Jelly fish. Yes, she has seen this episode many times, but lately has tried to copy what they do. She was so proud of herself.
The moves go: arms up wiggle them around, drop it down...jumping jellyfish.
(This was the second go around, so it wasn't as long)
And, don't mind the mess, I was packing for my trip and organizing some things.

This is Nelle, in her basket. She adopted this basket and now sits and relaxes in it...daily!

Nikelle Spring Time Pictures

It was finally Spring, all we waited for was the flowers. Finally!! My friend and co-worker, Cathy, was able to use this amazing yard to get some adorable pictures of Nikelle. She did an amazing job. She says they are "unedited," but they are great!

We did have a hard time to get Nikelle to smile, but we did it later at night and a few days later she started another fever. This time it was another bladder infection. Poor baby! And, we had just got over the 105 fevers the week before! Now, we need to go back into testing. So, on June 10th, she will be sadated, and then more tests will be done to look at her bladder. Hopefully, it was just a fluke infection and not the reflux she has had. I will keep you updated on that.

More about Nikelle.....she is talking so much. Greatfully, she has learned the word "no". She loves "cuckies", which are ducks. AND, don't forget "MUNO"! I am proud to announce that she has now mastered the beginning of Yo Gabba Gabba and can say all the characters name in order (with the exception of fufa, she still is Tutie). She can say Apple Juice, for anytime she wants something to drink. She has also mastered the doggy door. This way she can help herself out to the "side" anytime she pleases! All I need to say is...I really do love her!

On the brighter side, I only have 10 more days of work and then I get to spend a wonderful summer with my baby girl. I can not wait! I also get a chance to go to Boston at the end of June, and I am supper excited! It will be hard to leave Nelle, but it's one of those chances that don't happen all the time.

Easter

I thought since my computer was finally letting me do what I wanted to do, I would post another. Here are some pics from Easter. She was soooo much fun this year. She loved to gather eggs. She had no idea that there was candy in some until later (like 5 or 6 that night). The fun thing was we could just take a handful of eggs and hide them wherever we went and she thought it was the most amazing thing. What a cute girl, I must say!

Squeeky Shoes

Nikelle is getting so big! She is now 19 months and weighs just over 21 lbs. She is such a joy to be around. I love that she is learning new words like: no, no nap, no (with a dirty look), and so many others. She has discovered the outdoors, and helps herself through the doggy door. She does crack us up!

Nikelle loves Gabba and will ask for "muno". If you don't know who Muno is, well he is the big orange/red guy on Yo Gabba Gabba. Every night before she goes to bed we sit on my bed and watch Muno. I don't know if it is a good or bad thing, but I guess she is only little once, and just a little extra cuddle time is worth it.

So, Nik's sister sells squeeky shoes. I have to say, I do love them. Nikelle does too! She now can get into her drawer and find her shoes. Most of them she puts on by herself. Well, she started this thing. When you put them on she dances. We call it the squeeky shoe dance. Nik started making noices (he calls it beat boxing...good thing he stays with his day job). Now, Nikelle would dance to this. One night we got this on video...
