I know I have not done much with my blog, but I am hoping that in the next few weeks or months I will be back in the swing of things. Christmas 2011, was great. Nikelle was so much fun! She loved to open all her presents. We also got the baby a few things, and Nelle had to show them to him (yes through my belly). Nikelle seems pretty excited that the baby will be here soon. I am a little nervous, just because she is my little shadow. Hopefully, she will still be way excited when he actually gets here. Today, I went in for my 33 week update. Everything looks good and he is looking like a chunky baby. He moves so much compared to how Nelle moved around. I can honestly say with this pregnancy that he sits out front. With Nelle I was a huge water balloon. I have found that I hurt more with this baby. We did have a slight scare on Monday, Feb 6th. I just hurt so bad, so we went up to the hospital and they watched things for a while, and then sent me home. We are just thinking that I had overdone it the past week with confrences, chores, and other things that were going on. I was told to slow down and try to sit and relax as much as possible. I think that I was ready for that. So, at work I stay put in my classroom, and save my energy to walk around my classroom as much as possible.....I can't teach sitting in one spot. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed teaching while being pregnant. I feel that it is easier to be due at the end of the school year and not the beginning of the school year. I just wish my due date was later in April, so I had more time to get everything done. I did have to come to reality and say this is life, and I can only do what I can do. Hopefully, I have taught my kids well this year, and they do well for the end of the year testing.
Nelle Update:
Nelle is potty trained, except for night time. We will be trying that soon, she is getting up when she needs to go, so I think she is ready. This is great news for us, since we have been working on it for over a year. She has tried so hard, and we are so proud of her. With her hisotry we knew potty training would be hard. Her doctors thought she would be 4 or close to 5 before she got the hang of it. Maybe she is outgrowing the reflux.....
Nelle also enjoys playing with her dolls and fills her bed, in a certain order, each night. We will be getting pictures of this. She is growing up so fast and making friends. We also enjoy her stories that she tells. All I can say is Nelle is a talker (non-stop) and it would be so much fun to live in Nelle's world!
My Pregnancy update: Feb 8th. At 34 weeks he weighs about 5.5 lbs.......ummm that was more then what Nelle weighed when we left the hospital. When she looked we could be off about a pould a half. (I am hoping!!) He loves to be curled in a ball and when the doctor tried to get him to move to see his face....he just kicked with the other foot that he did not have by his head. He loves to hear Nelle, and goes insane when she is laughing. The room is painted (pictures to come soon) and we are getting everything in there. I think I am more excited about this baby, just simply because I have more a feeling of what is going to happen. Although, I still have the parts that I am not looking forward to. I know each baby is different, but I don't think you can be prepared for your first baby. We love Nelle dearly, but at least this time, I know I won't get much sleep....hehe.
This year, 2012, looks like it will be a great year!
